Kitchen Complete!

Jamey has owned our house for about three years now. It is a very traditional brick home that was built in the seventies. He bought it with the thoughts of fixing it up over time. Just like most men, Jamey was waiting on a woman's touch...that's where I come in. It only took us about two weeks to redo everything. Jamey and his Father (James) did most of the work so instant sweat equity in our home! Below are the before and after photos. The cabinets look cream or even yellow in the photos but they are actually a light brown and antiqued. As you can see the old kitchen was dark and drab. The new kitchen has all updated stainless steel appliances, giallo ornamental granite counter tops, "antique look" backsplash, new seamless stainless steel sink and pullout faucet, and new window treatments. It's not complete just yet...I am still looking for wall decor. If you and your family are thinking about remodeling your kitchen, beware! Jamey was cooking hotdogs in the microwave (on the floor) for dinner several nights. I love my new kitchen!

Dinner with my Boyfriend & his parents....Oh and My Husband

Last night we went shopping and to the Cheesecake Factory with our friends the Seymore's. (Reference: Jenny's link to See More Seymore's) They have an adorable little boy, Luke. He has become a favorite of ours and over time he has been giving Jamey a run for his money. Last night we laughed all evening at his character and antics. When they sat us down last night they sat us in a half moon booth and right before Jamey began to sit down Luke pushed him out of the way and jumped in his spot to sit by me :) After dinner we came back to the house where Jamey, Jon, and Luke played guitar hero and they began to dance around. As you all know Jamey loves to dance but once again Luke took the show. Luke danced around the living room and showed us all his moves..it was the best entertainment!

Jamey and I have been looking for a new dinning room table so our dinning room is completely empty right now. Luke said he really liked the room because it was empty....I asked him if he thought it might look better if it had a table in it...he proceeded to tell me that he is going to get Jon's (His Dad) wallet and his mustang and take me to buy a new table for the room. I can't wait for my boyfriend to get his Dad's wallet and take me shopping in his Daddy's mustang!!!! Your in trouble Jamey...Love it!

3 Months of Wedded Bliss

As of last weekend we have been married for three whole months! Married life is great and we could not be happier! For those of you who don't know, here's a quick run down of how Jamey and I got together. We went to high school together at Waxahachie High. Jamey dated my cousin Emily in high school but, after he graduated went into the military. This is where the story gets interesting. Jamey came across Emily on the Hatch alumni page and they starting emailing every once in a while. Emily suggested that Jamey get in touch with me, so she gave him my email address, he emailed me, we met for dinner, and the rest is history. A big thanks to Emily for playing matchmaker! Here are some picutres from the wedding. Enjoy!

Busy Summer

So much has been going on the past couple of weeks. We have been completely remodeling the kitchen and then preparing for and going to the Bahamas. Just got back late last night. Jamey made President's club and won us a trip to The Atlantis Resort. So much fun...once we finally got there! Of course we had some drama getting there. Long story short it took us twelve hours to get there and twelve hours to get back. Seriously is it too much to ask for airlines to stay on schedule? Atlantis was awesome. We spent most of the time in the lazy river, at the beach, at the pool, or riding one of the many slides. Even rode one that went through the shark tank! Another highlight of the trip was going to the market and getting a couple of purses. I had to get some shopping in because the trip wouldn't be complete without it! If you have never been to The Atlantis, I highly recommend you check it out. My husband just informed me we are going to dinner and a movie with friends. And the best part is we are eating Mexican food! Very excited because we have been eating seafood all week. don't get me wrong, it was great but am ready for some chips and salsa. I will post more pics later and also some before and after pics of the kitchen. Hope all is well with everyone.
