Last night we met the Seymores and went bowling. What a fun time!Although I did get beat by a 4 year old! Did I mention I am not the greatest at bowling? I must say I am just a little sore this morning. Just wanted to post an entry real quick. We are off to the movies. If you go early it's only $5.00 to get in. Gotta love that! After much debate we have decided to see Marley and Me. will let you know what we think. Thanks again Seymores for a great evening. We will have to do it again soon.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
I hope everyone has had a great holiday season. We did. I especially enjoyed the days off from work and being able to hang out with family and friends and relaxing. I must apologize for not keeping up with my blog better. I knew it had been a while, but did not realize I was so behind. I am thinking a good New Year's resolution for me is to maybe do a better job with the whole blog thing. What do you think? I thought what better way to start out the new year than with posting a blog. Anyway not much has been going on with us. It has been crazy busy at work for me this past year and I am hope that things slow down soon. I think I have worked more weekends over the past few months than I have the entire 10 years I've been there. Fun times!
Sorry for all the rambling. I am a little sleep deprived. We stayed up until 2:00 this morning. Had a few people over to ring in the new year. Can't remember the last time I stayed up that late! Also today is my dad's 65th birthday, so Happy Birthday Dad. We took him to brunch at Mimi's Cafe. Very Yummy. Everyone usually asks if he was the first baby born on his birthday, but he wasn't born until 6:00 p.m. or so. Still pretty cool to be born on Jan. 1st.
I am looking forward to 2009 and whatever God has in store for us. May you all have a great year! Here are a few pictures from Christmas.

Raiders, Aggies, & Longhorns

On Saturday we went to the game and the first half was close but Tech got there act together and BTHO A&M. Jamey and I are looking forward to the Tech vs. Texas game coming up this weekend. I am on the fence with this game....Jamey has got me cheering for Tech but, I have always loved the Longhorns. Thanks bunches to Geoff and Emily for the great seats at the game!

NKOTB- We were "Hanging Tough"

My cousin Emily and I went to the New Kids On the block concert in Houston a week ago. It's been a crazy week so I apologize for just posting. It was great that Jamey and I got to spend time with Emily and Geoff in Bryan/College Station. The concert was awesome, we went in style and had a blast. We sang all the old songs and did not no any of the new ones. When "Hanging Tough" came on the place erupted and we went crazy singing as if we were in junior high all over again...and of course we were waving our arms side to side! Thanks for the great time Em.

Diverticulitis
What is that you ask? It's what Jamey was diagnosed with last week. Diverticulitis is an infection in the colon that is caused from a lack of fiber. This time last Sunday we were headed home from the emergency room. Jamey had been feeling bad for a couple of days and decided to go find out what was going on. He was having really bad pain in his lower left abdomen. They treat this with two different antibiotics and a clear liquid diet for 3-4 days. It turns out the antibiotics have helped the infection and pain in his side, but making Jamey sick at his stomach. Needless to say we have had a very rough week dealing with this. It seems that my hubby is finally on the mend. THANK GOODNESS!!! At least we have a fun week ahead of us. Thursday I am headed to my cousin Emily's and we are going to the New Kids on the Block concert. I am super excited! Then Jamey is going to meet us and Emily and her husband Geoff got us all tickets to the A&M vs. Tech football game on Saturday, so we are looking forward to that as well. I will be sure to fill you in on our fun-filled weekend.

Babysitting, Stomach Aches, and Monday Night Football

Last Friday night Jamey and I practiced parenting by babysitting Nolan. So, Jamey sat in the recliner, doing what he does best...watching football while I tended to Nolan. Nolan kept us entertained for about an hour then it was bedtime. I went to lay him down but he wasn't quite ready to go to sleep so Jamey came to the rescue and was able to get put him to sleep. But, Jamey came back into the living room and told me that there was an issue. Nolan's diaper needed to be changed and Jamey had just got him to sleep and now it was my job to wake him up and change him. THANKS JAMEY! So, I wake him up, change him, and get him back to sleep quickly.
On Monday morning I woke up about 4:00 am with my stomach churning and I am feeling very ill. Nolan had been sick, gave it to Erik(his dad), then passed it to cousin Coey, too. I laid in bed all day Monday with Jamey coming in from work several times to check on me.a definite plus of him working 5 minutes from home! Monday afternoon I am thinking I am so lucky to have a wonderful husband to come home to take care of me....that's when Jamey comes in and reminds me he is going to the Cowboys vs. Eagles Monday Night Football game. I think to myself, why isn't Jamey sick? I am quick to remember his babysitting consisted of sitting in the recliner watching football...and now he's off to watch some more football!
Jamey got home from the game around midnight and decided that he would go ahead and wake me up tell to me about his evening at the Cowboy game in this awesome suite and how the game was so great.
I am all better now! Jamey and I had a great time with Nolan. Laura told me that this is pretty much par for parenthood. We are looking forward to doing it all again soon. We are great babysitters!

Football Season!

Jamey and I don't see eye to eye on football teams. But, we both like to watch football and enjoy spending the time while we watch. The rules are that we have to cheer for the others team even if we don't want to...we both try to respect each others team. Sometimes hard to do! Jamey's loves his Texas Tech Red Raiders and Dallas Cowboys. Me, I love the Louisville Cardinals and the Indy Colts (b/c of Peyton Manning). The one team we both agree on are our Waxahachie Indians. We are looking forward to going to Emily and Geoff's in October when the Red Raiders face off with the Aggies.
